2. PERSONAL HEALTH & ACTIVITY QUESTIONNAIRE
ABOUT YOUR FIRST VISIT
Meeting with a personal trainer for the first time is a big step, especially if you haven't trained before. Exciting? Yes. A little intimidating? Maybe! We expect training to be collaborative, fun, and challenging. Below are some frequently asked questions, feel free to call or text us at (301) 500-8001 if you have any further questions!
What should I bring?
-
Completed Waiver, Personal Health and Photo Release forms if you haven't returned them by e-mail
-
Water bottle
-
Towel
What should I wear?
-
Comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict your movement. Your trainer will need to see you move so shorts and a t-shirt are ideal.
-
The shoes you wear when you exercise. Please do not purchase new shoes prior to this appointment.
What should I expect?
-
The first time you meet with your trainer will be a time to review your goals, health history and for you to ask questions. Your trainer will also evaluate your flexibility, mobility, stability and strength. Both Sue and Eve are Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certified so they will be using the screen to establish a baseline on which to build your program. This will insure that your workouts will be safe and effective.
-
Your trainer will give you feedback based on the conversation and screening which will include a road map to your goals.
-
You will leave with a few exercises to start doing at home, prior to your next appointment!
Where should I park?
-
Park in any unmarked space along the fence in our parking lot at 6 Lee Avenue
-
Ask us for a permit when you visit
-
If you want a closer spot there is paid parking around the corner on Grant Avenue and neighborhood parking further down the street.
