WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT MAD FITNESS
“Sue has been my personal trainer for the past four years. During that time I have grown stronger, more energetic and more fit than at any other time in my life. I feel considerably younger than my 70 years. This is the best investment I could have made in my own health and well-being."
David Leckrone, Personal Training Client since 2009
"We have worked with Sue for a year. Although our personal training needs differ, Sue has worked with us to craft helpful, individual programs of exercise that are effective. She has helped us focus on the path to better health. Sue is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and we highly recommend her."

"Good news: As a result of weight loss and diet changes my good cholesterol has gone up,
bad cholesterol has gone down, and my tryglicerides have gone down."
Jeanne Sauber, Personal Training Client
“I have been training with Eve for several months, and I couldn't be happier! She designs workouts that are creative, diverse and effective, and she is always upbeat and encouraging. I feel stronger and more fit than I have in years. I would not have been able to do it without Eve's help and support."
M. Pell, Personal Training Client, 2012
"I met Eve 4 months ago when I was looking to make a lifestyle change. During our first meeting I knew that she was the trainer for me as she is both energetic and motivating. We established fitness goals that day and I am so amazed at how quickly I am achieving them due to her encouragement and knowledge level. Eve is constantly learning new training techniques through continuing education courses. This shows her passion for training and she is always willing to share her expertise with her clients. She customizes each session to meet my needs and creates new ways to challenge my body. Eve is easy to relate to and humorous which makes our sessions go by quickly. Her schedule is very flexible which helps this working mom. With Eve’s support, I am not only stronger and more toned but I have also lost weight. Thanks Eve for assisting me on my journey to a healthier lifestyle. I am already so excited with my results!"

"Sue is a dynamo. In case you are not sure how dynamo translates, just try her out as a personal trainer. The dictionary definition is, “a forceful, energetic person.” My definition adds educated, sensitive, attentive, physically agile as well as strong, goal oriented, positive and fun filled. Her training is consistent but uses a variety of techniques with such creativity that I am never bored. I also am never in pain (stiff maybe, but not in pain). When training, Sue might push me through my tiredness, but she always stops me when my form says the body can’t do it any more.
As I am a senior citizen with most unrealistic expectations, I look to Sue for functional training. This training is for survival. It is climbing stairs, leaning over to take the pots off the bottom shelf, tying my shoes, maintaining my balance as I garden and getting out of a swimming pool without using a ladder. Sue understands those needs and helps me reach and maintain the essentials for my life. However, after a year, Sue encouraged me to reach for the gold. And I did. I went zip-lining in the cloud forest, hiking in the mountains and hopscotched with the kids. I walked up and down hills in the savannah and the rain forest and I jumped from rock-to-rock chasing frogs across the creeks. (I admit I did fall in –smile—but I was strong enough to get out.)
Sue is the motivator, and the sensible person in my life. She has helped me develop a strong core and a movable body. She taught me to use weights and balls and rollers and just about any machines or cones or rings you can find in the gym. I have been able to do push-ups with the children, dance the samba, and even climb a mountain. Best of all, she has enabled me to have fun without injury and guided me to a strength that belies my age. I can walk. I can dance and I can even climb mountains."

"MAD Fitness is close to home, there are no intimidating or boring machines in sight, there are a lot of classes to choose from, all with no up-front membership fee. So I stopped by one Wednesday evening to check it out and found what is undoubtedly the key to my success in getting moving again - enthusiasm and non-judgmental input from Eve and Sue.
At first I set a goal of two classes per week. I was exhausted at first but struck with it, in part because I purchased a four-class pass and in part because, much to my surprise I liked it. Classes are a mix of agility training, weights and cardiovascular exercise. All of the movements engage multiple muscle groups and we flow seamlessly from one to the next with some chatter and encouragement in between. We never do the same workout twice, so I don’t get bored. We work individually or in pairs/small groups but we all work at our own level, with or without weights and with or without modifications due to old injuries or minor aches and pains. The time flies by and I have fun while working hard. For sure I have my favorite exercises and there are some I wish never showed up on the white board as part of the daily work out. But now I understand the purpose of each movement and I get the input I need to make each exercise work for me, so it all seems doable with time and training. Two classes per week became three and three became four and I think this is really going to stick. It is the perfect way for an unfit fifty-something to get moving again and after only two months I see tangible results in my weight but most importantly how much calmer and healthier I feel."
